Why You're Failing at healthy living

Do you have people in your life who always throw you off? No matter how delighted you are, or regardless of how content you feel, the moment you socialize with these individuals, your state of mind just drops like a rock. Welcome to the club. All of us need to learn how to handle the hazardous people in life at some time.

If you have any good friends or family, and this means that you become part of 99.9% of the human population, there will constantly be a harmful individual. There's at least one.

Despite how well whatever is going in their lives, they constantly manage to take defeat from the jaws of triumph. That's simply the way they are.

It's seems that whatever they touch somehow turns sour. No matter how intense, no matter how confident, no matter how positive, they always make things unfavorable. It's always the worst case situation.

The issue with harmful individuals is not a problem at all. They are who they are. They made their beds, and you need to allow them to oversleep them. We are all entitled to live the lives that we have actually chosen.

However the issue is, when you define them as hazardous individuals, you trigger a chain response in your mind that ensures that their toxicity leaks into your mind. Unfavorable as they are, and no matter how much distance you would like, some of it permeates in.

Why? Well, because of your choices. Unfavorable individuals are only negative since you made them unfavorable.

I understand that sounds crazy because you probably have a good friend or an acquaintance or a relative that you know full well is a social cancer. This person is simply the worst of the worst. However think me, your power of meaning is more powerful than you give it credit.

And a lot of the times, you are reading this negativeness into that individual. And worst yet, you are permitting it to toxin you as well. Believe me, there is no person in the world that is 100% negative. All of it boils down to point of view.

I do not want to get all postmodern on you and I definitely don't want this to be misunderstood or misinterpreted as some sort of postmodern amoral philosophical conversation. It isn't. What I'm simply saying is that there are constantly 2 sides to a story.

And it might well end up that the reason these "toxic" people around you are slowly killing you is because you allow them to. You specify things in such a method that they are poisonous.

This is where it gets uneasy. Because if you were to alter your choices, if you were to alter your mindset and viewpoint, things will enhance.

But let's get real here. This takes work. It also takes maturity, and someone has to be the grownup. Who wishes to be that, right?

Part of what makes "cleansing" our relationships such a problem and such an inconvenience is because of the truth that we feel we can't do it. We feel that it's too much work. We feel that there is just excessive at threat. Simply put, we're making a thousand and one excuses why we don't desire to do it.

Well, if you're ill and sick of making excuses, time to find your zen. The basic meditation practice, which takes less than 15 minutes every day, can enable you to get the psychological and willpower resources you require to detoxify anybody you stumble upon.

Eventually, the social cancer that you feel negatively effects you is an option. It is a definition. And for it to have any power, you need to buy into the definition. Knowing how to handle harmful people in life is a present that will provide you back time, energy and peace of mind. You deserve it!

Self Care

I am a bit obsessed with my animals. And I'm sure if you had a pet dog and a bunny, you 'd be obsessed with them too. Abby (dog) and Niblet (bunny) are well-behaved, really social and have a lot of character. Abby is incredibly popular in the neighborhood and the other pet dogs consider her a star. Lots of animal moms and dads (or any parent) dislike leaving their children when it is time to go to work and I was among them. Many early mornings I would think, I simply want to be a remain at house animal moms and dad.

I have actually been fortunate to deal with a lot of excellent people, however cubicle life didn't appear to fit me anymore. I felt the work I was doing might be done from a home. I would take a holiday and feel refreshed for a few days and then burnout would come back. In the back of my mind I constantly thought how nice it would be to be my own employer. Having the ability to periodically come house for lunch and stroll my dog kept me going on bad days.
It ended up being harder and harder to go back to the workplace.

Abby did a great job of making me feel guilty whenever I would leave, whether it remained in the morning or during a lunch go to. I understood one day I would find the best circumstance to make a modification, I simply didn't understand how quickly. The corporate mindset of being a number on a spreadsheet and a body to fill a job mindfulness was getting old. Doing the work of 3 individuals sufficed to make me turn in my resignation.

When that letter was sent out, I felt totally elated. I started counting down the days till I was totally free. Every early morning I believed, I won't have to leave house to go to work every early morning very quickly. Only 5 more days, 4 more days, 3 more days, and so on

. During my recently, I began to put my office together. One of the most important pieces was a pet dog bed. The only challenge I'm finding right now is that Abby wishes to sit on my lap as I'm working. I enable it often, how might I not.

It was a hard transition to make, however I have definitely no remorses. The joy and liberty I feel outweighs any worry and operating in my house office where my furry children run around is my kind of job!
